We are looking for technicians to join our growing team. With a focus on independence, technicians at Mastclimbers LLC are key team members, tasked with ensuring our machines arrive at the job site in perfect condition. Our technicians are dynamic, motivated mechanics with the ability to work in the field – at home and abroad, ensuring our operations run safely and smoothly.

Role: Service Technician

Summary: A key member of the Mastclimbers LLC team, this position requires a self-starting, results-motivated candidate who has the ability to work independently, to solve practical problems, and recommend solutions. Primary responsibilities include the preparation, service and support of construction hoists, mastclimbing work platforms, and transport platforms. A hands-on job, you’ll be expected to interact with both customers and management so good interpersonal skills are essential. As is resilience – you’ll be working outside a lot and in varying weather conditions with advanced technology, and at times, complicated instructions you’ll need to interpret independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Service, troubleshoot and repair equipment as required
  • Carry out periodic service schedules as required
  • Provide helpful customer service as required for installations and repairs
  • Identify recurring problems and recommend procedural enhancements
  • Actively resolve customer complaints, documenting resolution steps and making recommendations for process improvements
  • Follow formal compliance policies related to safety and quality assurance
  • Be available for rotated weekend on-call duties
  • Must become proficient in use of DoForms for timesheets, work orders and handover forms, and equipment inspections
  • Attend training classes as necessary to improve safety and working skills.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to read and follow schematics
  • Ability to perform field installations and commissioning of construction hoists.
  • Possess his/her own tools and normal work equipment (specialist tools will be provided)
  • Must be professional, courteous, polite, and respectful
  • Entry level training in the safe operation of mastclimbers, hoists, and forklifts
  • Must be able to fulfil reporting requirements including service reports
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must successfully pass a Criminal History Records check and drugs test.

Qualifications:

  • One to three years of demonstrated electrical mechanical experience.
  • Technical school and or trade certification is desirable.
