When Hurricane Michael hit Florida’s Panhandle back in October 2018, the results were devastating. The white sand beaches in this tourist hotspot were torn part, and the clean-up is still ongoing. Mexico Beach was wiped out and Panama City Beach suffered extensive damage too.
A little to the north, Long Beach resort didn’t escape the carnage either. We began working with the regional contractor C-Sharpe to provide the machines they needed to repair four large apartment blocks that suffered storm damage earlier this year.
A small fleet of Hek MSHF units were deployed and allowed C-Sharpe’s team easy access to carry out essential repair works to the buildings including renovation of damaged stucco, waterproofing, a new paint job, and repairing balconies damaged by the wild weather.
A regular duty, medium weight mastclimber, the Hek MSHF provided the mobility needed to complete the job on time and within budget. Available in single or twin mast configuration – single was the best fit for the Long Beach project – each unit has a lifting capacity of up to 3,300lbs.
